Recovery That Feels Like Family—Backed by Clinical Excellence

Many people arrive at Pesona Jiwa exhausted from holding everything together.

They have spent years taking care of businesses, teams, families, responsibilities, and expectations.

They are often the person everyone else relies upon.

Yet privately, they may be struggling with burnout, trauma, anxiety, addiction, emotional exhaustion, chronic stress, or a growing sense of disconnection from themselves.

What they are usually looking for is not another programme.

They are looking for somewhere they can finally stop carrying everything alone.

At Pesona Jiwa, recovery is intentionally personal.

Unlike traditional retreat environments, we welcome only one guest at a time.

No groups.

No shared schedules.

No need to compare yourself to anyone else’s journey.

Instead, you are welcomed into a private family environment where safety, connection, and individual attention sit at the heart of the experience.

Many guests tell us that what feels different is not simply the therapeutic support.

It is the feeling of being genuinely cared for.

Not as a client.

Not as a diagnosis.

Not as a problem to be solved.

But as a human being.

This sense of connection is paired with a high level of clinical expertise.

Led by Matt Little, M.A., Dip Couns, MBACP, AP APM, ICAP I, PVI Certified, Psychotherapist, Addiction Specialist, and Clinical Director of Pesona Jiwa, every retreat integrates evidence-based psychotherapy with contemporary understandings of trauma recovery, nervous system regulation, attachment, addiction treatment, behavioural change, and Polyvagal-informed practice.

Where appropriate, programmes may also incorporate innovative nervous system interventions such as transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation (taVNS), alongside psychotherapy, wellbeing practices, and personalised recovery planning.

The result is an environment that combines professional clinical care with genuine human connection.

A place where you can step away from the pressures of everyday life, regulate your nervous system, recover from chronic stress and burnout, address deeper emotional challenges, and reconnect with yourself in a way that often feels difficult within traditional treatment settings.

Because meaningful recovery rarely happens through expertise alone.

It happens when clinical excellence is combined with safety, trust, compassion, and the experience of feeling truly seen.

That is the foundation upon which lasting change is built.

Healing is fastest where clinical excellence meets a genuine sense of safety. Our ‘one guest, one villa’ model removes the variables of group settings to allow for deep physiological recovery.
