Ayu | Holistic Wellness Practitioner & Nervous System Specialist
Ayu is a Holistic Wellness Practitioner and Nervous System Specialist at Pesona Jiwa, supporting guests through body-based, restorative and trauma-informed practices designed to encourage regulation, reconnection and a deeper sense of internal safety.
Born into a lineage of Balinese healers, Ayu grew up surrounded by ritual, indigenous philosophy and traditional understandings of wellbeing. From an early age, she was exposed to the belief that healing is not simply about treating symptoms, but about cultivating presence, compassion and a meaningful connection with the body.
Her work today brings together that cultural foundation with extensive study and practice across Eastern wellness traditions, somatic approaches and nervous system regulation.
A Personal Path Into Healing
Ayu’s relationship with holistic practice began through yoga in childhood.
Later in life, her own experience of chronic back pain became a turning point in the way she understood healing. Rather than continuing to push against the body, she began to listen more closely to it.
That experience shaped one of the principles at the centre of her work today: every body carries its own history, patterns and experience, and effective care needs to respond to the individual rather than impose a fixed method.
Her approach therefore focuses on curiosity rather than force, supporting guests to notice what their body is communicating and to develop a more compassionate relationship with themselves.
Her Approach
Ayu works across a range of traditions and body-based practices, integrating elements of Ayurveda, Yoga, Balinese philosophy, Traditional Chinese Medicine and trauma-informed care.
Her work also incorporates somatic awareness, vagal toning and practices intended to support nervous system regulation.
Rather than approaching regulation as something that must be achieved or perfected, Ayu encourages guests to develop a greater awareness of sensation, breath, movement and internal state.
Her sessions are gentle, grounded and highly individualised, allowing each guest to work at a pace that feels appropriate for their body and experience.

Nervous System Regulation & Somatic Awareness
Many guests arrive at Pesona Jiwa after prolonged periods of stress, burnout, trauma or emotional overwhelm.
In these circumstances, slowing down can itself feel unfamiliar.
Ayu’s role is to help guests reconnect gradually with the body and begin noticing patterns of tension, activation, exhaustion and rest without judgement.
Through movement, breath, stillness and sensory awareness, her work can provide an opportunity to experience periods of greater calm and groundedness while complementing the psychological and medical elements of the programme.
Her practice does not replace psychotherapy or medical treatment. Instead, it adds an embodied dimension to the wider therapeutic process, helping guests explore how emotional experience can also be felt and understood through the body.
Spirituality Without Expectation
Ayu is deeply influenced by Buddhist teachings, particularly those relating to awareness, compassion and the relationship between the body and mind.
She shares these ideas in an accessible and inclusive way.
Her work is spiritual without requiring religious belief, focusing instead on experiences that are universal: breath, sensation, attention, emotion and the capacity to be present with ourselves.
Guests are never expected to adopt a particular belief system or spiritual framework.
Creating Space to Reconnect
Ayu’s presence is warm, gentle and deeply attentive.
She creates a space where guests can slow down, feel supported and explore their internal experience without pressure to perform or achieve.
Whether through yoga, bodywork, somatic practice, sound or quiet reflection, her intention remains consistent: to help each person reconnect with their body, develop greater awareness of their nervous system and rediscover a sense of balance that feels authentic to them.
At Pesona Jiwa, Ayu brings together Balinese tradition, embodied practice and contemporary trauma-informed understanding, offering guests a deeply personal and restorative dimension to their programme.
