Her Role at Pesona Jiwa
As Head Nurse, Desy is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day delivery of nursing care and ensuring continuity across the clinical team.
She works closely with Pesona Jiwa’s psychiatrist, doctors, psychotherapists, psychologists and nursing staff so that each guest’s physical, psychological and medical needs are considered together.
Her responsibilities include clinical observation, medication support where prescribed, monitoring physical wellbeing, supporting medical reviews and ensuring that changes in a guest’s presentation are communicated promptly to the appropriate clinician.
For guests participating in medically supported programmes, including detoxification and recovery programmes requiring 24-hour nursing support, Desy plays an important role in maintaining safety, consistency and clear clinical communication throughout the stay.
Clinical Leadership
Before joining Pesona Jiwa, Desy served as Head of the Medical Team at PT. BOC, where she developed valuable experience in clinical leadership, team coordination and the management of healthcare responsibilities within demanding environments.
That leadership experience now supports her role at Pesona Jiwa, where she oversees the nursing team and helps maintain the high standard of individualised care expected within a private residential programme.
A Calm and Reassuring Presence
Nursing within a trauma and recovery setting requires more than clinical competence. Guests may arrive physically exhausted, emotionally overwhelmed, anxious, sleep deprived or uncertain about what to expect.
Desy understands the importance of creating a sense of safety through consistency, respectful communication and attentive care.
Her approach is warm without being intrusive and clinically observant without losing sight of the person behind the symptoms.
For many guests, the nursing team becomes one of the most consistent points of contact throughout their stay. Under Desy’s leadership, that support is designed to feel professional, discreet and genuinely caring.
At Pesona Jiwa, Desy helps ensure that every guest feels medically supported, emotionally reassured and safely cared for throughout their programme.
