Truly Bespoke Recovery Retreats — With Optional Medical Detox for Substance Recovery
No two recovery journeys are the same.
The circumstances that brought you here are unique.
Your challenges are unique.
Your history is unique.
And the support required to help you move forward should be equally individual.
At Pesona Jiwa, we believe recovery is most effective when it is tailored entirely around the person, rather than asking the person to adapt to a standardised programme.
This is why every retreat is built around a single guest.
No groups.
No shared schedules.
No generic treatment plans.
No requirement to fit into someone else’s process.
Instead, you receive a fully personalised recovery experience designed around your specific needs, goals, challenges, and circumstances.
Whether you are seeking support for burnout, trauma, anxiety, emotional exhaustion, nervous system dysregulation, substance misuse, or a combination of complex challenges, your programme is developed specifically for you.
Recovery That Starts With Understanding You
Many people arrive carrying far more than a single issue.
What appears on the surface as stress may be connected to burnout.
What appears as alcohol misuse may be rooted in chronic anxiety.
What appears as exhaustion may reflect years of nervous system dysregulation.
This is why meaningful recovery begins with understanding the whole person.
Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, we explore the wider picture:
- Nervous system regulation
- Emotional wellbeing
- Trauma history
- Stress and burnout patterns
- Addiction and substance use
- Relationships and attachment
- Lifestyle and recovery capacity
- Personal goals and life circumstances
From there, a bespoke recovery plan is created.
A Private Alternative to Traditional Rehab
For many guests, privacy is essential.
You may be a business owner.
An executive.
A healthcare professional.
A public figure.
Or simply someone who values discretion.
Unlike traditional residential treatment centres, Pesona Jiwa operates a one-guest model.
One guest.
One villa.
One family.
This allows for a level of privacy, flexibility, and personalised care rarely available within larger facilities.
Many guests describe it as feeling less like an institution and more like being supported by people who genuinely care.
Optional Medical Detox for Substance Recovery
For individuals recovering from alcohol dependence or certain substance-related conditions, medical detoxification may be clinically necessary before deeper therapeutic work can begin safely.
Where appropriate, Pesona Jiwa can facilitate access to trusted medical detox services through carefully selected healthcare partners.
This allows guests who require medical support during withdrawal to do so safely under appropriate medical supervision before transitioning into their personalised recovery programme.
Importantly, not everyone requires a medical detox.
Assessment is always conducted on an individual basis to determine the safest and most appropriate pathway.
Beyond Abstinence
Recovery is about far more than stopping a substance.
Many people have already tried that.
The challenge is often not simply removing alcohol or drugs.
It’s understanding what role they have been playing.
Perhaps they helped you switch off.
Manage anxiety.
Cope with pressure.
Reduce loneliness.
Escape emotional pain.
Create relief from a nervous system that has been carrying too much for too long.
This is why our approach integrates addiction recovery with nervous system regulation, trauma-informed psychotherapy, emotional wellbeing, and long-term resilience building.
The goal is not simply abstinence.
The goal is sustainable recovery.
Nervous System Regulation as a Foundation for Recovery
Increasingly, research highlights the relationship between addiction, trauma, chronic stress, and nervous system dysregulation.
Many people discover that substances have become one of the primary ways they regulate difficult internal states.
Recovery therefore involves developing new ways to experience:
- Safety
- Calm
- Emotional regulation
- Connection
- Rest
- Resilience
Alongside psychotherapy and recovery support, programmes may incorporate nervous system-focused interventions, including Polyvagal-informed approaches and, where appropriate, transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation (taVNS).
Recovery That Feels Human
Clinical excellence matters.
But recovery is not built on expertise alone.
It is built on relationship.
Trust.
Safety.
Connection.
Many guests arrive having spent years taking care of everyone else.
For perhaps the first time in a long time, they find themselves in an environment where they don’t need to perform, manage, lead, or hold everything together.
They are simply supported.
Often, that becomes an important part of the healing process.
